Lead development team and maintain development and release process. Create specifications based on system architecture and assign tasks to development teams. Collaborate closely with project manager and chief engineer based in Beijing as well as external development teams in Beijing and outside of Beijing. Supports and coaches other team members in complex technical issues and acts as a technology expertise and senior software engineer to others. Can follow up architecture design and break it down to several modules/functions/activities, and assign them to other team members(internal and external) according to them knowledge level. Daily communication with customers, external members, internal members for requirements, technology approach and methodologies. Qualifications Rich experience in project management methodology, strong leader skills. Strong background on system architecture and software design. Very good oral English and writing skills. Excellent Java 5/6 knowledge in Open Source environment. Very experienced in Spring and Hibernate frameworks, knowledge of JMS/ActiveMQ and Lucene a big plus. Media industry experience preferred. Rich project experience in designing web applications, ideally with portal background. Proficient with MySQL 5 including replication. Experienced in developing of distributed environments (web services, replicated databases and backend data processing systems). Knows how to lead a development team.
