Job Responsibilities 1. SHE Responsibilities: - Take responsibility for own SHE performance. - Act according to the NeoResins SHE policy and Application SHE rules as laid down in the manuals. - Show awareness of the annual SHE plan for Application. - Report and communicate all SHE related matters. - Ensure housekeeping standards are met. - Participate in SHE training. 2. Jobholder is an authority, recognised by the Industry and our organisation, in technical expertise of the Coatings market and competitive activity in designated segments by regular customer contact and by directing sales personnel in technical matters to ensure that the groups product and research portfolio reflects existing and future needs. 3. Maintain and increase existing sales of NeoResins products by solving immediate problems and identifying new applications either by direct visiting, through trade exhibitions, or by writing and presenting technical papers, in line with agreed budgets. Contribute in meet Resins business long term growth targets. 4. Participate in the planning, control and execution of Application laboratory projects designed to meet specific customer or market needs identified by job holder which will result in increased sales of existing products. 5. Identify opportunities for new products and technologies for the Coatings Application Group by working with identified key accounts and make recommendations to assist in the selection and prioritising of development projects in R 6. Contribute in the coordination of market and laboratory activities for specific new product and formulation developments for designated segments to ensure that the new product reaches the market in the agreed time window. 7. Train, motivate, update and help the Sales personnel in the use of all Resins Business products so that they approach customers with confidence and achieve sales target. Contribute to the development of the annual budget in value and profit terms for the Coatings. 8. Contribute to optimize margins of the products and ensure regular monitoring of results obtained. Qualifications&Attributes Success in the Coatings market depends on the technical performance of the product and the Industry Specialist must have long experience and an in-depth knowledge of the various segments of the market, the expanding NeoResins product range and general technology both current and emerging. Rapid, often immediate response as well as the ability to handle complex technical matters, is essential. He must travel widely, show the interpersonal skills necessary to work closely with customers - both internal and external - and have a proficiency in foreign languages. Close cooperation with key customers at a senior level is a vital part of the Resins Group strategy. On average the Industry Specialist spends 50% of his time traveling in the market where he works independently and can (does) commit the business. Jobholder is expected to have sufficient understanding of the full NeoResins product range to provide technical advice in other application sectors and is seen by customers as the prime contact for the Resins Business.
