Must be expert level with woven fabric knowledge/skills, preferably yarn-dyed jacquards. Dying/Printing (color) knowledge is important, but woven fabric knowledge is the most important. Must be honest and trust-worthy Must have “hands-on” experience. Must be technical person as it relates to the fabric development process. Must be able to ensure the timeliness and required specification for all fabric development. Must visit factories when necessary (about 80% of the time). Must be bilingual - English&Mandarin (Mandarin being the most important). Must have a flexible nature/disposition. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment. Position: Testing Manager based in Shanghai Requirements Must be honest and trust-worthy. Must bi-lingual in Mandarin and English. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in testing of fabrics and textile products. Must be hands-on in managing a large workload, and be capable of multi-tasking. Prefer someone with experience in home textiles, but would also consider candidates from fabric or apparel industry. Must understand/have technical experience with woven fabrics specifically jacquard fabrics. Must understand/have technical experience with color (dying, printing, finishing, testing, yarn-dyed vs. piece dyed etc.). Must have experience working with CTL (Wal-Mart testing), ITS (general testing company), RTL (JCP testing) and BV(Target’s testing). Working for one or more of these testing companies would be a plus. Must be willing to travel to CTL (Wal-Mart testing), ITS (general testing company), RTL (JCP testing) and BV(Target’s testing) for meetings and any urgent business matters. Must be willing to travel to factories in order to train/work with fabric technicians and inspectors if needed. Must be detail-oriented. Must have great organizational, operational and communication skills.
