Person must provide the following skill set and knowledge: Portfolio strategy Development/Alignment: Support Design in the selection of existing and new suppliers in the Semi space that meet technological, cost and overall total value requirements Participate in the analysis and ranking of supplier. Continuously monitor suppliers and strive for excellence in delivery, cost, quality and overall value. Responsible for new supplier identification as well as promote the potential supplier with good delivery, cost and quality while ensuring all required quality and financial analysis are performed and evaluated. Contractual Support: Support Business Unit and Legal organizations with the negotiation of Legal Agreements in order to facilitate business requirements. Security/Continuity of Supply: Individual must ensure security of supply. Must be able to work with EMS and suppliers during the escalation process and ensure minimal impact to the supply chain. EOL (end of life) mitigation and coordination with Business Units to ensure minimum cost and business interruption to Nortel. Cost Reduction: Responsible for the pricing negotiation of the Semi portfolio on an annual basis (as well as on an “as needed” basis) in order to achieve corporate cost reduction targets established. Responsible for tracking and publishing results to contract performance. Track market trend and conditions to ensure capitalization on improving trends as well as communicate where conditions may pose deterioration to the costs of the business unit. Qualifications: Business Degree and/or Engineering Degree 5+ years in Semiconductor Industry.
