JOB DUTIES: The Product Support Specialist is a member of sales and marketing team that supports products sold to OEM customers in the greater China. Emphasis of this position is on providing timely and quality product support inquires, conducting product and warranty training to Cat dealers and OEMs, identifying required service parts for products sold and monitoring inventory stocking status, communicating service related issues to engineers worldwide for support, answering warranty claim related questions from Cat dealers and OEMs, etc. Use computer, engineering drawings, Service Information System, manuals, and SIMS and warranty systems to resolve product problems. Possess initiative to resolve product support issues with minimal supervision. At times, this incumbent will need to travel to dealerships, Cat or OEM production plants, and customer job sites to assist various parties in solving product problems, learn about products and systems, and to recommend solutions to design problems and to conduct field test. BACKGROUD/EXPERIENCE: Requires a four-year Technical Degree, or equivalent experience, and 2 to 4 years of engineering assignments to gain a working knowledge of engineering disciplines. Cat EDS experience and some Pro-E skill are desirable.
