Windows Server Division is a branch of Microsoft Windows Servers and Platform group (one of the fastest growing businesses in Microsoft). The team in China is a part of ATC Shanghai and is also an extension of the Windows Servers and Platform group in China. The team will focus on technical areas such as high performance computing, web service, and system management. To build a strong team of engineers in China for Windows Servers and Platforms group (such as Developer Platform), ATC Shanghai is looking for software talents with the following attributes: passion for technology and shipping software that can influence millions of users around the world, excellent software design skills, and through understanding of operating systems, internet technologies, distributed systems, driver and user interface development. Windows Server Division (China) is looking for people passionate about serving enterprise customers with innovative software to join the Connected Systems Division (CSD). In CSD, we are developing services and tools that are changing the way distributed applications are developed and deployed. You will work on the next generation software infrastructure that empowers customers to develop and deploy seriously secure, reliable, scalable, and high performance distributed applications. You will create ground-breaking technology innovations that will make IT Pros and developers ecstatic. As a Software Design Engineer (SDE), you will be responsible for the design and development of a key component. You will be responsible for reviewing product specifications, writing design documents, and designing and implementing world class software for global markets. The candidate must have strong problem solving skills and the eagerness to learn new technologies. The candidate should have 3 years of C/C++ software development experience on the Windows platform and have excellent coding/debugging skills. Expertise in the following areas is definitely a plus: XML, Web services, UDDI, UI programming, .NET, and C#. Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential.
