Acts as point of contact for customer and group companies. Responsible for management of complex transition issues and activities, coordinates in-coming demand created business with the CM’s Materials and Purchasing Group and Program Managers. Satisfies customer needs by serving as a liaison between the Company, CMs, Production, Warehouse, Marketing, Vendors and Customers. Provides direct communication link on site issues to appropriate Regional Account Manager (RAM)/ Global Business Manager (GBM). Typical job duties Determines the profile of potential and existing account such as company, size, industry sector, competitive environment, support requirements and sales potential. Conducts account analysis, develops, and implements supply chain solutions with the Logistics Business Development team. Responds to and directs a variety of customer service calls related to production, purchasing, technical support, sampling needs and price quotations. Forecasts customer’s purchasing (service volume) as related to bills of materials, prototype requirements, production quantities and marketing data. Monitors all transfer business to insure price integrity, delivery and forecast issues are maintained. Trains on each product line distributed by the group companies; determines how each line can be sold into the CM to maximize number of lines sold to each account. Evaluates and coordinates the quote process with the manufacturer’s reps as well as the group companies’ marketing representatives; considers other pricing factors and strategies to provide complete quotes; oversees quotations to customers; answers questions and determines any objections; checks outcome; and tracks business. Profiles accounts to determine if inventory is needed, including setting parts and quantity levels. Communicates all activities between CM and end customer division location on all demand-created business; coordinates pricing issues with suppliers, manufacturers’ reps and group companies. Establishes and meets sales budgets and quarterly goals and objectives by customer and supplier; completes related account profile forms; manages site DSO level. Identifies new business opportunities based upon customer’s needs; facilitates vendor base reduction for customer satisfaction; interfaces with company management and customer to identify, develop and monitor new strategies and programs to increase sales.
