This position supports customer designs using highly integrated System on Chip (SOC) devices to implement high performance next generation DVD platforms. This job requires close technical contact with the customer in order to understand their technical requirements, concerns, and to ensure customer product success in a highly competitive marketplace. The hardware customer team engineer must follow the entire development process from analysis of customer requirements, through initial prototyping and preproduction and up to a successful product launch. Along the way you will need to review and provide constructive feed back on initial designs, assist in the bring-up and debug of customer prototypes and provide an interface to internal engineering for product customizations. Specific Tasks: Provide training and technical documentation to customers. Work on customer’s board issues including prototype bring-up and validation. Answer technical HW/System questions. Perform basic board component ECO changes on references and customer boards. Provide review of customer’s schematic and layout designs. Provide technical review of project documents including: customer requirements; verification plans, verification results, field validation plans and validation results. Assist customer’s implementation of Broadcom supplied reference design, development tools, drivers, and application software at the customer site. Act as technical liaison between engineering and the customers ensuring that communication is clear, concise and delivered in a timely fashion. Works as an active partner in identifying solutions to issues that threaten our ability to satisfy our customer being proactive in dealing with issues by tracking down information rather than waiting for the information to be delivered. Job Requirements: MS/BS EE/CS plus 5-10 years related experience. Extensive experience in the development and debug of real time systems. Good high speed circuit design, specifically in DDR SDRAM and other memory systems. Highly skilled in the use of lab debug equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, in-circuit emulators and various test equipment for consumer video products. Familiarity with Embedded Linux. Experience in video and audio solutions highly desirable with knowledge of video&audio signals Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong detail orientation. Must have the ability to understand, describe and analyze technical problems in a methodical and precise manner. Self-directed, self-reliant and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task activities, set priorities, and achieve deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, must have strong English skills Knowledge of embedded systems is an asset. 联系方式： qingli@broadcom.com .
