Develop designs and check drawings before release for prototypes, mass production and customer approvals 2. Design reviews and preparing design review documents for Customer reviews 3. Familiar with Engineering Standards, Product Design Standards and the use and management of product PDM/PLM systems 4. Project Management as well as scheduling work and providing problem solving support 5. Technical interface with customer engineering to discuss program, design specifications, Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Production Validation Testing (PVT), planning and reporting D/PVT results. 6. Familiar with and able to assist our Customers" to document their product and program development needs 7. Experienced in developing product specifications&design verification testing needs for the customer, and able to define special tests as circumstances require 8. Able to develop, analyze and train other engineers in DFMEA"s and DVP "s as it relates to Shock Absorbers, Struts and Corner Modules 9. Communicate with and provide direction to component suppliers supporting ArvinMeritor 10.Responsible for the documentation in the C2C for engineering on assigned programs 11.Manage and track costs associated with product development on assigned programs and projects 12.Provide Engineering BOMs for quoting 13.Familiar with standard product design and its relationship to manufacturing and processes ---Education/Experience: 1. Engineering degree 2. 3 years automotive related experience with a Tier 0, 1, or 2 supplier 3. Experience in the area of suspension of chassis systems and components preferred 4. 3 Years shock and strut experience preperred 5. Computer literate and able to carry out design calculations 6.
