Product Design Engineer ְλÃèÊö£º ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for Gas Turbine driven train packaging and Auxiliary Systems for GE Oil&Gas product line, in particular the candidate will be involved in structural design for base-plate, piping system design, auxiliaries equipment selection and system specification. It will be his responsibility technical documentation issuing (Customer&Manufacturing documentation), looking for quality and timeliness. Design will be based on O design practice and project requirements, starting from customer specification reading and translation into project technical documentation to be issued for project execution. The right candidate will have the ability to: Manage entire project by reviewing drawings produced by drafters starting from the input given by him. Manage total of hours spent on the project and allocate right resources (drafters) for assigned tasks Develop the design using CAD and communication with 3D modelers/drafting Justify the design concepts with hand calculations and FEA Present ideas through design review and drawing sign-off Validate the design through specific activities at supplier facilities Provide right support during manufacturing phase Support design from concept to lessons learned coming from fleet utilization QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: * Mechanical engineering degree (5 years) or equivalent * Strong technical skills * Interpersonal skills * A minimum of 2-3 years engineering experience of practical application * A Master dgree in relevant technical background is preferred. DESIRED: * Familiarity with O product, structural and piping design. - Mechanical design experience with ANSYS, CAESAR or other equivalent FEA tool. * Unigraphics(UG) CAD experience or alternative experience on 3D CAD systems - English fluent Packaging&Auxiliary design engineer will work in a very stimulating and dynamic environment, where customer touch, quality and technical rigor will be the key for the success. Daily will be the focus for continuous improve of design process and product quality, looking also to supplier capability, manufacturing process and field installation follow-up. Material&Processes Engineering Team Leader 1Ãû(¼±ÕÐ) ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: The Material&Processes Engineering Team is part of the Advance Technology Organization supporting Engineering, Sourcing and Global Service from the point of view of material selection/properties, special process, NDT, failure, lifing and repair technologies. In this team the Materials&Processes Expert is responsible for: As an expert the jobholder acts as the single point of contact for all Oil and Gas Sourcing for the application and approval of all Special Processes and Non Destructive Testing and more specifically regarding the materials properties and how they react with the different manufacturing processes He is a resource for all Engineering personnel and Sourcing personnel as an expert related to the chemical and mechanical properties for all manufacturing processes and especially special processes. He is able to indicate equivalent materials to EU or USA standards and he is in charge to write the relevant technical documentation. He manages Supply Deviation Requests and he is responsible for Corrective action Implementation He works closely with the Engineering NPI team as it relates to material properties. Seek Best Practices throughout the Oil and Gas Supply Chain. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum 6-8 yrs background in Material Properties and Special Processes and people leadership. * Minimum 5yrs experience with Non-Destructive Testing * Knowledge of chemical, mechanical, the impact of Manufacturing processes on the material properties of material * Knowledge of sand casting, forging, heat treatment process * Knowledge of applying NDT technology to Manufacturing Applications * Knowledge of Measurement System and Gage calibration * Ability to work and develop new approaches and technology to solve issues * Excellent presentation and communication skills * Excellent motivational and leadership skills * Project / Program management skills * Master Degree in relevant technical background is preferred. * NDT Level II Certification is a plus (Radiographic Test, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Ultrasonic Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection).
