Jointly with product managers design the detailed product specifications Support the project leader to define, set up and organize the individual development projects. Do resource-, capacity- and cost-planning for the mechanical R team. Support project leaders and engineers in project execution Hold regular project review and gate release meetings with the project leaders, engineers and with management Develop and maintain basic technologies and platforms needed for the design of low-cost/mid-market products Introduce/ maintain necessary R tools (eg.CAD) and R (i.e. Siemens gate-release process ¡°PEP¡±) Implement a quality engineering function for the mechanical device design department. Build up the necessary supporting infrastructure and equipment such as rapid-prototyping equipment, actuator performance tester, life tester, hydraulic flow tester, test benches, etc. Lead special quality and cost-improvement projects Qualification Several years of R engineering/design experiences in the area of electro-mechanical components / actuators, ideally in the area of HVAC control valves&actuators or damper actuators Experience in actuator design (structural design, gear/motor/drives design) Proven track-record in R project management. Has successfully lead several R as responsible Project Leader. Good team-leadership skills. Has more than 3 years experience in leading a development team.
