The developer will work closely with the DBA and the business users in understanding and documenting the requirements, performing unit testing, developing the applications and also handle database support issues. Responsibilities Meet with Business users to understand requirements and document the same. Design, develop and unit test business applications Work with business users on user acceptance testing Work with DBA and the rest of the applications team to establish standards. Handle database helpdesk issues on a day to day basis Position Requirements College diploma or university degree in the field of business, computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience. Hands on experience developing database applications in SQL 2000/ SQL 2005, SQL server reporting services, SQL server analytical services Hands on experience on performing data loads to data warehouse, data marts and OLAP cubes Hands on experience developing ASP .net applications, VB .net applications and XML applications. Hands on experience in scripting file based operations using VB script Understanding of project management principles. Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Highly self motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
