Maintain control over the architecture lifecycle parallel to the project’s software development lifecycle. Proactively monitor the adherence of the implementation to the chosen architecture during all iterations. Responsible for defining application systems and enterprise technical architectures. Gathers information about program needs, objectives, functions and input/output requirements to design application systems and facilities that perform well logically and physically. Integrate with existing NEW systems (e.g. ServiceBench) as required. Researches and evaluates software and hardware to be used as system components and application platforms; make appropriate recommendations. Coordinates enhancements and maintenance of technical architecture components and application systems components when necessary. Performs situational analysis and makes recommendations for problem resolution. Progressively make critical decisions that define a specific direction for a system in terms of implementation, operations, and maintenance. Set quantifiable objectives that encapsulate quality attributes of a system. Work closely with management to explain the benefits and justify the investment in software architectures. Inspire, mentor, and encourage colleagues to apply intelligently customized industry’s best practices. Create and distribute tailored views of software architectures to appropriate stakeholders at appropriate intervals. Understand and re-engineer current application architecture for the future development. Knowledge/Skill Requirements: 8 to 10 years of experience in a position involving application integration/configuration and system architecture design. At least 5 years of experience with web based application architecture design and implementation. Experience with enterprise application integration (EAI), web services, web portal and SOA. Expert level knowledge in persistence and presentation frameworks Experience with design pattern, especially J2EE design pattern. Proficient in OOA/OOD using UML. Expert level knowledge in data modeling and database management. SQL Server is preferred. Proficient in user-interface design for web-based applications. Proficient in business analysis for web-based application architectures Knowledge of EDI and other standards (HiPAA, HL7, Swift) a plus. Hands-on experience with J2EE/Java/XML based development and deployment, including application server administration (at least one of WebLogic, WebSphere, Oracle, Tomcat). Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English. Previous experience in implementing CRM application. Previous experience in call center applications is preferred. Experience in working with outsourcing development team. Must have excellent technical knowledge with most of the following domains: Web/Java/J2EE: JDBC, JDK, JNDI, RMI, Servlets, JSP, JVM, RMI, Application Servers (BEA WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat) XML: DTD, Schema, XPath, XSLT Web Services: Service Oriented Architecture, WSDL, SOAP, BEPL Protocols/Standards: HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPs, SOAP, SMTP, POP, EDI, AS1/AS2 Security: Certificates, Encryption Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
