This product is based on Linux and other open source components combined with commercial and internally developed software components. We now have an opening for a (Senior) Software Specialist. Besides ensuring that performance targets are achievable, our team provides the tools, analyses and expertise that hardware and software architecture as well as implementation teams need to achieve these targets. On a day-to-day basis, it will be up to you to analyze and measure software performance as well as propose solutions to any problem areas you identify. In addition to this, you will define and implement tools for measuring performance. Your contribution will also be needed in performance use case creation and other key performance issues. To succeed in these tasks, you will constantly collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders. Though you will ideally work on a wide variety of hardware and software areas, your specific focus will be based on your individual skills and interests. Qualifications Thanks to your extensive software architecture and technology experience and expertise, you are confident tackling new software areas and analyzing performance related issues. You also have a deep understanding of Linux/OSS software and ecosystem as well as an excellent command of C/C++, perl, python or Unix shell and tools. On top of this, we value any experience you have gained with maemo.org. To share findings and collaborate with other stakeholders, you have good communication skills.
