Main Responsibility Area Creates quality plans and manages implementation. Identifies, initiates and follows up corrective actions within Electronics Commodity. Manages quality related issues and actively solves quality problems in Electronics commodity including related project management. Responsible for investigation, selection and facilitation of existing and new quality methods and tools for wider use. Assures compliance to in-house andor external specifications and standards. Scope Individual Contributor - Variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, Demonstrates initiative&contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work. Key Tasks Is responsible for quality strategy creation, integration and implementation to Electronics Commodity supply strategy. Guides programs in technology selection utilizing knowledge of supplier technology, process maturity and risks. Is accountable for supplier quality development (processes, products, systems). Drives supplier qualification including environmental and ethical issues. Contributes to supplier selection. Is responsible for the development and implementation of quality related processes and practices internally and with suppliers. Collects , analyses and reports quality related information. Initiates and monitors corrective action implementation. Manages quality reviews with defined suppliers. Escalates component quality problems affecting cost, capacity and availability. Utilizes understanding of Supplier manufacturing process and technology to proactively support programs in risk identification (capacity, cost, availability) and quality target setting. Manages suppliers&supports programs in implementing the agreed quality targets and processes (CQP, KCR, ICDR etc).. Manages supplier development projects as well as continuous quality improvement. Evaluates suppliers" need for quality and Nokia process training and is responsible for arranging the needed training. Leads process capability and system assessments when qualifying new suppliers (Nokia supplier requirements&ISO standard). Supports programs, suppliers, factories and other Commodities in supplier related problem solving. Manages quality reviews with defined suppliers. Ensures that component specification is agreed between supplier and the responsible designer according to requirements and milestones. Contributes in component code approvals where applicable. Manages supplier Product Change Notification (PCN) process where applicable. Challenges design engineers to follow component related manufacturability, reliability and environmental guidelines. Provides feedback of component quality related risks (cost, availability, capacity) from builds, product validation, manufacturing or the field. Drives component count reduction and standardization within the programs when applicable. Monitors deliverables from platform programs (KCR/ICDR/CQP), including understanding of any potential risks to quality, reliability or schedule and escalates actions when needed. Evaluates suppliers" need for quality and Nokia process training and is responsible for arranging the needed training. Qualifications Network Suppliers, Product Programs, Factories, Commodity SLMs, Materials Management, Customer Care ,Technology platforms, Individual Portfolio Typically 4+ years relevant experience, fully competent. Uses functionally specific knowledge. Degree. Environment Carries out specialised activities/projects according to general direction. Influences others to support decisions. Works independently with little supervision. Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Solutions can often be checked and proved. Medium collegial or consultant interaction.
