SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Develop Category Strategy for Kohler Accessories Enlist the support from marketing, engineering, supplier quality, material planning, and other Global Faucets purchasing staff. Develop cost models for each specific commodity within the Accessories Category. Find and develop new suppliers as required by the category strategy. d. Enlist support from supplier quality, engineering, marketing, and material planning. Own&Manage Supplier relationships Utilize supplier scorecards to mange and communicate cost, delivery, quality. Look for ways to reduce costs to meet set cost reduction goals. Assist New Product development by providing approved supplier list for accessories and related commodities. Coordinate activities with the NPD-Accessories buyer. Write, negotiate, execute, and manage supply and purchase agreements. Develop and execute stocking agreements. Develop and execute strategies to support yearly business objectives as outlined in your Maximizing Performance plan. Visit supplier plants to provide closure to major projects and action items as they relate to the category strategy, supply&purchase agreements, or business objectives. i. Enlist the right people and develop deliverables prior to making a supplier visit. j. Increase/decrease the amount of suppliers as directed by needs identified in the category strategy. k. Find and develop new suppliers as required by the category strategy. l. Enlist support from supplier quality, engineering, marketing, and material planning. Tactical Responsibilities Assist Material planners with delivery problems. Assist Supplier Quality with quality problems. Manage blocked invoices. Assist Material planners with expediting orders. Invoice approval. Communicate potential supply chain problems to material planning, engineering, and marketing. RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS Supervisory Relationships 1. Reports to GF Purchasing Manager, Asia Organizational Relationships 1. Frequent contact with NPD-buyer accessories of Kohler WI. 2. Frequent contact with GF supplier quality, engineering, marketing and material planning from different divisions. External Business Relationships Frequent contact with Asian-based accessories suppliers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Engineering degree preferred, ability to interact with engineering is a must; - 3+ years experience in global purchasing preferred; - Excellent understanding of commodity product technology; - Strong purchasing skills and project management with organizational skills. - Excellent written and verbal skills in Mandarin and English. - High proficiency in using Microsoft suite. - Basic understanding of quality systems and ISO 9000; 联系方式： .
