Job Description Procuring mechanical commodities ranging from large aluminium extrusions, big welded steel or aluminium beams/structure, large machined parts, large castings , injection molding and sheet metal parts and other catalogue parts. Select and develop the supply base with technologies and mechanical processes for the assigned commodities. Develop, implement and manage the procurement strategies, process and tools and system requirement to improve cost, quality and productivity Develop in depth commodity strategy with program team. Be the primary supplier interface for deploying the business objectives and resolving issues on the technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery and cost. Manage suppliers through setting performance expectation, measure and drive to meet HP"s business needs and continuous improvement in quality, cost and lead time. Work with cross functional teams (internal and external) to drive program deliverables. Provide design for manufacturing feedback to R and other internal program team based on the supply base Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, Material Science or related with at least 5 years of direct applicable experience. Strong fundamental and work experience in Mechanical manufacturing processes like Aluminium extrusion, Steel and aluminium casting and large size machining, injection molding and sheet metal processes. Experience in vendor selection and development Experience with Good Technical and Supply Chain knowledge for commodities use in the Large Format Printing business or Computer peripheral product or machine tool manufacturing industry. Experience in project management , managing sub-contractors and suppliers preferred Good knowledge of IT software/Solid designer, CAD tools applications, statistical process control techniques, Six-Sigma, ISO and GD is advantageous.
