JOB DESCRIPTION This Web 2.0 Software Development Engineer will work on projects based on Adobe Flash/Flex technology, AJAX , and Microsoft Silverlight technology. In-depth knowledge and experience on programming languages and technology platforms and required. Excellent coding techniques and methodology must be employed. Good English communication skills are a must for successful collaboration in a global team environment. Essential job responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned as well. Design and develop next generation, highly interactive, database-driven Rich Internet Application (RIA). Work with a global team on complex client projects. Long time communicating over phone and occasionally working after business hours may be needed. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent knowledge and work experience on building Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) with associated development environments are required. Knowledge and experience with Adobe products and web design/development technology, including Flash, Flex, AIR, ActionScript, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and InDesign, are required. Knowledge and experience with Web 2.0 development with AJAX and Microsoft Silverlight are required. Knowledge and experience with database technology, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or MySQL are required. Working understanding of Agile software engineering processes and methodologies. Must be a fast learner. Be able to come up to speed on new applications and technology in a very short amount of time. Must be details oriented, with strong analytical skills and problem solving skills. High degree of self-motivation. Must be able to plan and execute work both independently and as a team member. Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at o nce. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE BS in Computer Science required, MS in CS preferred. At least 5 years of work experience on web application design and development INTERACTIONS Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to read and write in English fluently. Be able to orally communicate software design and technical details in English. Fluent oral communication in English is desired. Frequently interacts with peers, project/program managers, and sometimes with customers.
