SUPERVISED, EVALUATED AND REPORTS TO Pudong Librarians/Drama Director QUALIFICATIONS An associate"s degree and/or technical certificate and/or one-year experience working with a wide variety of audio/visual equipment, especially stage lighting and sound equipment. Computer-literate, including the ability to use e-mail and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience in audio-visual equipment operation, maintenance, repair, house sound and light system controls; and services for public events. Experience in a theater environment is a plus. Chinese/English speaker. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Experience in video and digital photography is a plus. DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES WORKING WITH THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE AND DRAMA DEPARTMENT: 1) Responsible for Pudong Auditorium facility booking calendar and conflict resolution 2) Provides audiovisual event support for all Pudong venues, particularly but not limited to the auditorium. Operates, maintains, delivers, installs, sets-up and breaks down media&A/V equipment, including mic"s, lights, sound, and projection. 3) Trouble shoots performance and maintenance of light and sound boards. 4) Provides preventive maintenance and improvement measures for theater equipment and facilities. 5) Develops an orderly and proper storage system of theatre items (mics/chords/stands/plugs) 6) Develops an orderly and proper system for storage of costumes and props 7) Manages back stage and set design space (shop) areas 9) Ordering and development of sound booth and theatre equipment. 10) Offers creative and offer solutions in problem solving situations, and be willing to learn new ways of doing things. 11) Shows initiative in sound support during concerts. (Listening and adjusting levels); attends all productions as requested or required within and beyond regular school hours on demand 12) Ideally, someone that could run an after school activity to teach students to use the equipment too. 13) Works with the Theater Manager in the efficient and effective acquisition of equipment and replacement parts. WORKING WITH THE TECH OFFICE AND LIBRARIANS 1) Maintains, tests, prepares and distributes AV materials, theater equipment and supplies. 2) Maintains records of current specifications of AV equipment, theater equipment and supplies. 3) Cleans, services and repairs equipment and, when necessary, coordinates offsite repairs with venders. 4) Recommends purchases in light of demand and longevity of equipment. 5) Has a strong working knowledge of all equipment, including interactive white boards, LCD projectors, laptops, OHPs, etc. 6) Provides training in the proper operation of AV and theater equipment. 7) Duplicates CDs and video and audiocassette tapes, as needed, following copyright law. 8) Other duties as assigned.
