Act as Process Leader to support GL/AR/FA of China Shared Service Center Responsible for assisting the C SSC leader in both short and long term financial decisions to ensure the success of the business. This includes the evaluation of operational performance and the development of operational budgets, profit plan, strategic plan and financial controls. Responsible for ensuring that the processes defined for the GL/ AR/ FA vertical are followed and complied with as per the corporate guidelines Customer oriented mindset with an attitude and ability to define and meet customer expectations. Responsible to ensure compliance of the entity financial practices with all respective statutory and China Accounting/Eaton Financial Policies requirements. Responsible for conforming to corporate policies and reporting, legal requirements, China statutory and US GAAP. In the initial stages of the business the individual will be responsible for setting up the financial systems and tools for effective monitoring and analysis of the business in keeping with Eaton policies and local practices. The individual will also be responsible for analyzing and monitoring the financial impact of business decisions including funding requirements, product pricing, compliance with transfer pricing, capital investment and operating costs. The individual will also be responsible for data integrity assurance based on the ERP system selected. Additionally, the major responsibility will cover timely preparation and effective analyses of financial reporting package (including Profit Plan, Strategic Plan, Monthly Rolling Forecasts) for operational and senior management review. In addition this position has responsibility for ensuring compliance of the entity with Sabenes-Oxley Act (Section 404). Co-ordinate with the Statutory/Internal auditors to facilitate the audit process. Support the Oracle Finance Implementation in the region from a GL/ AR/ FA standpoint. Co-ordinate and work with the Implementation team to ensure smooth transition of work from the in-scope plants to the C SSC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements) 2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. A. Serve as financial advisor to the C SSC Leader B. Establish adequate internal accounting cost control guidelines for the parties involved in the operations of the company. C. Define strategies for growing financial profitability. D. Develop economic-financial analyses for new projects to determine the magnitude of the financial needs for their implementation and coordinate the preparation of the capital appropriation requests. E. Coordinate the financial aspects of Strategic and Profit Plans to provide the necessary resources to meet the business growth . F. Analyze and evaluate the impact on the business originating from changes in government economic-financial rules / tax laws, investments, exchange rate, foreign capital, fiscal incentives and accordingly determine the need to change the financial administration policies and cost accounting procedures. G. Coordinate and ensure SOX compliance, as well as other statutory and regulatory requirements, including the coordination of internal and external assessments, audits and action plans to address areas of non-compliance or weakness H. Formulate short and long-term strategies for the operation to keep it current with the latest technological and administrative developments. I. Assure flow of information between operations and the function, including Corporate, on economic results and operational plans. Ensure compliance with all Corporate deadlines which include reports, commentary, and updates to the financial systems (Oracle, Encore, Tax , the cost out database, etc.). J. Maximize the performance of the finance organization through selection, training and compliance to Eaton ethical standards. Build organizational capability in Finance to meet the needs of an expanding business model. K. Communicate with corporate as well as peers in APAC and European region Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts in China and US GAAP. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface effectively with all levels in the organization both in English and Chinese ACCA/ CPA with 6-10 years of experience in senior finance and accounting position in a manufacturing/services industry Strong knowledge of local accounting and taxation laws/statutes and requirements Possess working knowledge of Oracle Finance ERP Process Improvement mindset with experience in defining finance processes and controls Ability to work effectively with multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both upward and downward Broad general product, shop floor and business knowledge in order to adequately interpret operating results, studies and analyses. General knowledge of all functional areas as they relate to the total business.
