The incumbent will report to the Regional Business Manager, Specialty Films, Asia Pacific, and, Global Business Manager, Healthcare. Responsibilities Develop and implement business strategies in Japan in coordination with global product line strategies. Directly responsible for revenue and contribution growth in Japan. Develop clear understanding of respective industry environments, especially Japanese pharma industry, including value chains, business drivers and competitive environment to create plans for creating value. Work closely with Global Business Managers to provide input to overall strategy development process and then tailor regional strategies leveraging Honeywell¡¯s global position. Lead customer segmentation efforts, value pricing strategies, development of customized value propositions and management of product profitability and mix. Target and close key opportunities, driving overall performance of the sales effort. Responsible for timely identification and communication of market trends, technical developments, competitive activities and business opportunities that will impact the business Implement growth strategy for Specialty Films products in Japan Manage channel and distribution strategies to drive performance of selected partners. Interface regularly with key customers and partners to establish high level business relationships Qualifications Attributes / Skills Required Strong business acumen, bias for action and results-oriented Customer focus Ability to provide leadership and drive results through a matrix organization Comfortable with 30+% travel Ability to work well across cultures Experience in a global organization, developing partnerships with peers in other regions Ability to move from strategic to tactical depending on the situation Experience / Education Required Bachelors degree (Chemical preferred), Masters degree (Business preferred) 5-10 years of sales/marketing or market development or business development experience; Direct experience in working in or with the Japanese pharmaceutical Industry Must be 100% fluent in Japanese, both spoken and written Able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
