The team focuses primarily on Microsoft development technologies. There is currently a focus on applications that integrate tightly with the Microsoft Office platform but over time the role will encompass other applications and technologies. The role is based in Shanghai, but will involve working closely with colleagues based in Canada and US. The core team is small and requires an individual who can be self-motivated to deliver individual projects as well as participating in wider project teams. Responsibilities: The role will encompass activities categorised in the following areas: § Dealing directly with internal and external business clients § Communicating designs and deliverables in both technical and business terms to different audiences. § Working in a global environment, respecting and adapting to the different cultures of end users worldwide § Working both as part of project teams and also on independent projects § Creating detailed User Interface Designs § Conducting formal reviews of the Detailed Designs with key project stakeholders § Creating and updating Source Code from Detailed Designs § Delivering systems under source code control for system testing § Making updates to Source Code and Unit Test Cases and supporting documents as a result of defects found during system testing § Writing installation and transition procedures § Creating or modifying system documentation § Delivering final systems for deployment Technical Skill Requirements: Candidates should exhibit excellent general development skills with significant and recent practical experience in the following: § Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) § Visual Basic 6.0 including COM § Relational Database Design § SQL knowledge § Microsoft Office Advanced Knowledge § Windows 2000/2003 server, Internet Information Server 5/6, § Microsoft Word with expertise in writing code that can work with all versions there of from ’97 through 2003 The following skills or experience would be beneficial: § Strong familiarity with Word from a formatting standpoint and familiarity with interpreting and implementing designs supplied by communication consultants § Web application development using HTML, ASP and Javascript Soft Skills Requirements: Candidates should also display the following attributes § Fluent in English, verbal and written § Strong Client consulting skills, the ability to work closely with system business owners and maintain their expectations. § Ability to create and maintain System Documentation to agreed company standards § Strong testing skills § Knowledge of industry standards and techniques in software development § Excellent time management and prioritisation skills 联系方式： 联系方式： We offer a competitive salary package and benefits to the right candidate.
