Be a catalyst for change in driving the organization to our Manufacturing Excellence (Mx) goals. Accountable for supply chain readiness, total cost management and risk mitigation between proto and FCS. Manages total cost and supply continuity risk mitigation throughout product lifecycle. High Level Responsibilities: Prepares the supply chain and manages continuity of material supply, delivery and quality ensuring no shortages, delays or quality issues from proto to FCS. Utilizes appropriate resources and influences sourcing decisions to achieve optimal product cost. Understands all elements of product cost; validates the integrity of the costed BOM and forward costing; able to clearly articulate the main cost drivers, cost reduction and cost avoidance activities. Manages the costed BOM integrity, risk, analysis and communication to the Ops team. Performs BOM risk analysis, identifying and validating risk parts driving resolution or developing mitigations plans for all X and 1 rated components prior to FCS. Communicates the supply chain strategy to the BU and Ops teams. Manages supplier performance and team expectations by proactively driving suppliers to meet or exceed committed performance by building relationships and trust with suppliers. Manages and ensures a smooth product transition from NPI to sustaining by utilizing the transition checklist prior to pilot and gaining agreement with mfg ops on the final checklist. Typically requires BA/BS or equivalent experience plus 8+ years supply chain management experience. Technical or MS degree preferred. APICS/NAPM Certification preferred.
