Follow BFCEC code of conduct in all aspects of job performance. Responsible for developing and managing World Class suppliers within China mainland. Work closely with Foton Purchasing and Cummins East Asia IPO Purchasing to ensure capable suppliers are selected. Follow and complete RFQ with right source, TCO analysis, S-Review checklist, price negotiation and support development of sourcing strategy through regular communications with Cummins and Foton Purchasing and Engineering Functions. Ensure suppliers have appropriate quality systems, audit effectiveness, source release processes. Drive supplier corrective action plans. Lead and assist suppliers in Prototype production, APQP and PPAP to achieve SOP milestones. Regular on-site process audits to drive quality improvement, lean manufacturing, cost reduction and Six Sigma capability. Co-ordinate materials activities with assembly plant and SMI/warehousing activities to achieve total lowest cost for the engine. Drive the application and development of purchasing functional excellence to achieve best practices Agree to CPMS work plan objectives and IDP with Purchasing Director of BFCEC and ensure targets and objectives are achieved. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering or Business. 4 to 5 years working experience in supplier quality or commercial supplier management. Automotive experience is preferred. SQIE and/or purchasing experience is required. English ability, both verbal and written. Capable of leading conversations with English speaking engineers. Strong inter-personal skills with ability to work through all levels of organization, internal and external. Self starter, able to make decisions and work with minimal supervision to deliver agreed results. Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers, leading to trust and long term partnerships. Communication&project management skills. Working knowledge of QS9000 and TS16949 Quality Certification. Capable of auditing quality systems. Teamwork skills.
