Primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and performing manufacturing engineering projects or processes. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support, including contractors. This position will be part of enterprise engineering group and may receive work directions from the enterprise group. PRIMARY DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES Provides support, trouble shooting, executing projects and training for current and new operations in China or location outside of China. Provides support or execution for system integration projects. The scope of project could include, but not limit to, material handling, production planning, process control and logistic system to ensure quality with efficient process. Provides support to develop routing, methods, layouts, tools, documentation, process control plans and training for these activities based on requests from units. Develop or apply mistake proofing technique or electronic tool in manufacturing operation. Support Product Quality System (DPQS) by develop or implement quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas at unit or product line level. Develop, support or implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Production System (DPS) at unit or product line level. May be responsible to coordinate regional activities based on assignment. Support or design operations layout to improve material flow and increase flexibility for order fulfillment process (OFP). Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency to support planning and execution of factory master plans. QUALIFICATIONS Technical Skills&Knowledge Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process. Working knowledge on database tools, the various loan accounting systems and process management systems. Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, assembly, power systems, etc), with skills in using computer aided design and/ or engineering tools. Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution process, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities. Understanding lean manufacturing, new product development process or enterprise product delivery process (EPDP) with focus on manufacturing design. Work Experiences: Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience. 1 3 years experience shop floor experience with line and process design, material presentation, line balancing. 1 3 years engineering experience in one or more related areas required: quality, design, reliability, production, industrial or manufacturing. 1 3 years experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. Education: University degree in Engineering/Science/Technology discipline or equivalent required. Master degree in Engineering preferred Others: Good interpersonal and leadership skills. Good planning, organization and facilitating skills. Good English reading and writing skill required. Good English oral communication skill preferred, have to reach good level within reasonable time after employment SPECIAL CONDITIONS Business travel around 25% Daily activities under minimal supervision, require frequent interaction with units in China, division and periodically interaction with other units.
