The position requires a dynamic technical project leader in the development of PM machine (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine) components for elevators. Basic Accountabilities: As a project leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Delivering of the relevant PM machine components, potentially including PM motor, brake, encoder, bearing and other mechanical parts etc. Providing technical leadership to develop solutions to difficult design related problems Management of intellectual property, including supplier agreements and patent disclosures Leading worldwide project technical and management reviews Development of detailed project plans, including task, resource, and financial planning Developing and improving the processes and standards used for product design and project management Principle Working Relations: Engineering and Supply Management teams, Worldwide Otis Engineering partners, Field, Supplier, Manufacturing Qualification Requirement: Deep technical knowledge and proven expertise in the development of PM machine (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine) components. Knowledge of elevator PM machine components and/or PM motor control application technology is desired. Experience with development tools such as PM motor electro-magnetic design software (SPEED, Ansoft etc.), Pro-E and ANASYS preferred. Experience with project management is desired including risk and requirements management. Familiarity with program management tools such as MS Project and previous experience managing and leading people is a plus.
