Responsibilities Include: Negotiation, development, administration and coordination of new conveyor equipment integration and retrofit proposals and contracts, including scope of work, designs, cost estimates, project plans&specifications, financial&legal terms and conditions and change orders. Develop, maintain and manage project budgets, schedules, tasks, responsibilities, and resource allocations and direct execution to deliver completed projects meeting quality standards on time and within budget. Direct plant site audits, review conveyor design drawings and specs, contribute to value engineering, prepare pricing estimates, oversee project documentation, and coordinate customer responsibilities. Procurement, administration and coordination of design engineers, vendors, equipment fabricators, and mechanical and electrical / controls assembly and installation subcontractors. Close working relationship with Design Engineer and Internal Project Manager. Manage administrative procedures and issues, including safety, cost accounting, subcontractor payments, invoicing, management reporting. Requirements Demonstrated project management skills including organizational, problem solving, prioritizing, communication, documentation, leadership, motivational and cooperative team management, with critical attention to detail. Excellent relationship skills with customers, subcontractors, subordinates, and other internal resources (including direct high corporate level and plant level customer discussions, presentations and negotiations, and dispute or conflict resolution). Technical aptitude understands and can articulate mechanical and electrical / controls concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and resources. Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions. Native Mandarin Chinese Strong English language skills, both verbal and written. Work Experience: Consistent proven success in project management of manufacturing or distribution center equipment installations, establishing and directing processes, procedures and standards. Demonstrated ability to understand job requirements, identify and allocate resources with the expertise to meet them, and coordinate resources to reach a successful outcome. Successful experience in such specific project management tasks as: leading effective team meetings, contract negotiation, design development, job cost estimating and pricing, proposal preparation, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, procurement of conveyor equipment, components and hardware, execution, change orders, and customer acceptance, etc. Computer literacy in software essential to job performance (e.g., MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, minimal CAD&Solidworks, etc.) Proven ability to lead and help others succeed, including to train and mentor subordinates. Minimum of 5 years of high level project management experience. Others: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, etc. Considerable travel (30 - 40%) required. Some work occurs on holidays and weekends when required by the customer. Based out of Shanghai , China Preferred Qualification: Conveyor design, estimating, fabrication, installation or retrofit experience. Successful direct experience in field-level management of new equipment or retrofits projects in manufacturing plants or distribution facilities. Familiarity with tasks, issues and responsibilities specific to conveyor equipment installations including: Line controls and associated electrical work, Work with millwrights, installers and other trade/craft personnel.
