Principle Accountabilities: Design, detailing, and layout of ride control products and chassis components in Catia v5. Checking designs and drawings with respect to accuracy and conformance to standards. Applying GD to product designs Preparation of tolerance stack-ups. Product Data Management. Drawing exchange to other ArvinMeritor businesses globally, as well as customers (OEM’s and tier 1 suppliers). Other duties as may be required from time to time to support the success of the group. Drives for Continuous Improvement Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree (technical) Fluent in Mandarin with an ability to write technically in English and mid-lave English speaking ability 1 - 2 years experience in the design, detail, and layout of ride control products or hydraulic components preferred. 2+ years in the design, detail, and layout experience in the automotive (preferably undercarriage), industrial or aerospace industries. Highly effective in the use of Catia v5, and working knowledge of Catia v4. Working knowledge of product design for manufacturing, dimensioning and GD FEA and DFM/DFA knowledge a plus. Is able to manage the transfer of designs between different languages (UD, SDRC, Catia, ProE, etc.) Delivers on commitments. Learns from the success and failure of self and others. Values Continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned Creatively integrates different ideas and perspectives. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Customer presentable and personable.
