POSITION SUMMARY: This position is to do the civil engineering and evaluations for multiple job sites located in the assigned country. Construction sites will include such systems such as waste water treatment, biodigesters, coal mouth methane and landfills for the capture and destruction of carbon produced in the production process. This right candidate will be working in a specific region supporting rolls in various regions. This position reports to: The Regional Construction Manager and Senior Project Manager of the assigned region RESPONSIBILITIES: The right candidate will have a strong knowledge various types of civil woks including trenching, pilings, trenching, infrastructure and water flow management. This position would report to the regional construction manager and the in country senior project manager. You would be responsible to evaluate and direct a contractor and sub-contractor job force at multiple job sites with in an assigned country. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining proper safety on all sites with the guidance of the regional safety manager. The right candidate will be responsible for coordinating civil work on various sites. This person will also interface with local and national governments to confirm proper permitting for all civil works. This person must be able to perform time table and material estimations for civil work under his guidance. This person must also be able to liaison with any local or national design institutes prior to actual work beginning. Direct contact with the senior project and project manager will be maintained at all times. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : The right candidate will have to have an above average knowledge of construction techniques which include; civil and mechanical. Knowledge is to include construction of Lagoons, pilings, trenching, concrete construction and HDPE material handling and welding. The right candidate will also perform site assessments and develop reports from the assessments for construction Extensive travel will be required to various regions at times This candidate will also: Must be able to coordinate all work on various sites Must be able to perform detailed assessments on various sites Must be able to manage contractors and subcontractors Be fluent in MS programs such as Word, Excel, Project, Visio and Outlook. AutoCAD is a plus. Be able to maintain detailed progress reports Must be willing to follow all company safety procedures Must be able to maintain quality control Must be fluent in English Liaison with local authorities and communicate any problems back to the regional construction manager. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS : Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or 8yrs equivalent working experience Experience: The preferred candidate will have 5yrs or more in the position of Civil Engineer.
