The Company provides complete platform and terminal-ready production solutions for OEMs and private label distributors worldwide. Client is in advanced development of 2.5G and 3G products, and has built strategic relationships with leading technology players and third-party software developers. Client has close to 200 professional staff worldwide, and established design and development centers, sales offices in Europe and Asia. Over 25 million phones that are in use today are powered by client technology. ______________________________________________________________________________________ General Purpose: Within the Product Marketing organization, you are in charge of the product definition convergence, specification&life-cycle management for all product engagements with regional customers in China and Asia Pacific. In addition, you will participate actively to the product planning process, focusing on regional trends and market opportunities to ensure future products are competitive in China&Asian markets. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Key Tasks: Provide support to the Sales and Account Management teams in promoting our mobile handset platforms offering to potential customers primarily in China, but also in rest of Asia: Drive the creation of product proposals together with product partners (including Product Planning, Project and Engineering functions) and provide support to the Sales and Account managers to create commercial proposals as an answer to customer requests for quotations. Drive proactively the creation of product proposals intended for targeted customers, consistent with the Sales and Account plans. Build multi-level customer relationships with strategic customers. Together with the customer and other product partners (including Product Planning, Project, Engineering and Design Studio), project manage customer engagements from LOI to Contract milestones: Drive the detailed product design, feature-set, UI functionality and launch schedule. Secure product competitive positioning with a Unique Selling Proposition. Ensure responsiveness to the Customer. Secure project IFO at contract milestone consistent with financial criteria. As a member of the project team, follow-up the product development process, ensuring compliance with agreed product specifications, bill of materials and schedule and ensure responsiveness to the Customer. Manage together with the Customer the product life cycle acting in a tactical role to ensure the product meets its sales volumes. Evaluate together with the Customer - competitive behavior to the product and respond accordingly. Based on specific business case, manage the change requests coming from the customer (leading to additional development projects) and drive the “go-no-go” process for the major ones. Together with product partners (Design Studio, Product Planning, R ), feed the “ideation process” with regional trends and market opportunities for the definition of new products, their positioning, target market(s) and key drivers to ensure global roadmap competitiveness vis-à-vis regional customers. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Education Required: Engineering degree + MBA or significant business experience. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Work Experience Required: 3 to 8 years in Product Marketing, Product Management and/or Development in the consumer electronics industry. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Skills / Abilities Required: Working knowledge of the mobile handset industry. Extensive experience in the following areas: - Conducting market research and benchmarking to define customer requirements. - Translating customer requirements into marketing requirement documents and product detailed specifications. - Product life cycle management, segmentation and the adoption life cycle. - Customer relationship management and sales support Excellent redaction and communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment including Customers, Sales / Account management, Project and Engineering. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Fluent in spoken and written English&Chinese. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Performance Indicators: Revenues (booking&billing). Responsiveness (RFIs, RFQs).
