Provide SQI support to VPI (Class I&II) teams in new supplier selection and development. Issue and follow-up on Supplier prototype non-conformances and 7-Step response. Assure Supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in Value Package Introduction (VPI) (Class I&II) programs Educate and implement the Supplier Quality Improvement Program with suppliers. Work closely to keep appropriate Supply Chain Management personnel up to date on quality related issues. Provide assistance in the preparation and development of the Total Cost of Ownership models Manage the Supplier Scorecard system and report supplier quality/delivery performance. Support entity SQI resources in the resolution and closure of chronic Supplier non-conformances. Develop/lead proactive quality improvement plans with the supply base that will support our customer needs. Liaison with Commodity Team and entity SQI on Serious Customer Quality issues attributed to suppliers. Compile data for summary / status reports. Provide charts and graphs of supplier performance/history. Lead Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA) work. Become a 6 Sigma green belt and lead green belt projects Requirement: Bachelor degree or above majoring in mechanical or electrical field. At least 5 years supplier quality development experience in multinational company and experience in automotive industry is preferred. Machining experience, stamping and foundry experience, iron and aluminum casting experience is required. Sound technical knowledge of Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials, COS, Quality, Engineering and related functions Proficient in auditing quality system, sound knowledge of QS9000 and TS16949. Excellent English both verbal and written. Excellent computer skills, especially in excel and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work through all levels of the organization.
