The Cleantech Group family of companies are the founders of the cleantech investment category and bring investors, executives, thought leaders, policy makers, and entrepreneurs together to facilitate the growth of cleantech through five business units; the Cleantech Network, Cleantech Advisors, Cleantech Indices, Cleantech Search, and Cleantech China. Since introducing cleantech as a viable investment thesis in 2002, the efforts of the Cleantech Group companies have spawned a new investment class with an annual growth rate exceeding 50%. We are adding a new position of Research and Data Analyst to our Cleantech China team and are seeking extraordinary candidates interested in a career with a rapidly growing company that is one of the principal drivers of the cleantech category globally. Position Overview The Research and Data Analyst for Cleantech China conducts primary and secondary research of the cleantech and related financial and investment markets as required. The responsibilities include the collection, verification and quality assurance of investment, market, technology, and financial data on the Cleantech related technology and sectors in China . This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and working independently and under tight deadlines to consistently produce high quality work that matches our high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and relevancy all delivered through excellent verbal and writing skills in both Chinese and English. Key responsibilities Effectively work under minimal supervision to conduct primary and secondary market research on Clean technologies and sectors in China in both Chinese and English Gather and analyze information on new venture capital deals, IPOs and M , corporations, entrepreneurial organizations, government agencies, academic institutions and other areas as assigned and taking responsibility for the quality of that data Gather and analyze other relevant information that might affect the performance of the industry or a specific industry segment Maintain up-to-date, approved data and information in Cleantech databases Conduct market research interviews and surveys with investors groups, corporate executives, government officials and academic professionals as required Manage relationships with leading data sources and information providers to enhance visibility and establish an effective pipeline of high quality and timely information Requirements Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience leading primary and secondary market research in China . BA/BS or higher degree in engineering and technology or business/finance preferred Established track record of analyzing and reporting data and research in both Chinese and English.
