Execute work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards. 2. Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Instrument Engineering and/or Design activities if necessary. 3. Develop specification and prepare material requisitions for switchboards, generators, motors, UPS systems and other required electrical equipment. Issue material requisitions for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions. 4. Decide on project area classification and give guidance to other Groups on the correct application of electrical equipment and materials. 5. Review Vendors" quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor. 6. Hold co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required. 7. Carry out the following functions relative to Vendor documentation: - Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with Vendors at the pre-order meeting. - Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier. - Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary. 8. Review relevant contract design work and in particular: - Engineering Flow Diagrams with reference to assigned equipment. - Piping Layouts and Models with reference to assigned equipment. 9. Advise the Principle Electrical Engineer of: - Any major slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action. - All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups. Requirement 1. Bachelor degree in electricity 2. 5-10 years experience in electrical power system design and detailing in petrochemical /chemical/ pharmaceutical or related industry 3. Has experience in HV, MV and LV distribution design 4.
