NA KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Summary 7 to 10 of the most important duties. Begin each sentence with an action verb; e.g. completes, determines, stimulates, facilitates , etc. Each action statement should conclude with an end result) Deliver project activities to specifications (quality, cost, delivery), on-time and within budget by: Understand Integration of combustion, Performance and Emissions (CPE), Applied Controls and Base Software data. Performance, controls and fuel system support for all products produced and developed at the Darlington site. Provide support to production on Hot Test, NLLT&ETS2 issues with engine performance, using trouble shooting techniques. Assist with the release of calibrations and ratings to meet customer requirements. Support quality and field service initiatives on ELF and PIC issues relating to performance, controls and fuel systems. Provide support to other EMI engineers. Involvement with test cell optimisation projects. Involvement with six sigma, RPS and other quality improvement projects. Must have an awareness of Electronic Engineer Tools (Nget, ESDN, Unlock and Insite&Calterm III) Must be able to write releases with guidance for calibrations and understand the structure. Must be able to attend calibration reviews and understand the basis of the meeting. Assist with the analysis of production test results to help the ACE group and FPV program. To be able to assist in the finding of root cause of engine performance / controls problem and then provide a possible solution. To help manufacturing engineers troubleshoot manufacturing tools which interact with the ECM (ETS2 and Hot test). Both with current and new product The job holder also assists with the development of procedures for “step 3” fixes to protect the customer from issues with electronic hardware. QUALIFICATION: ( List the education/training, experiences , culture/language and other skills/ competencies required for the position .) Education Technology degrees (HNC, HND or equivalent) would be considered for strong candidates with relevant experience. Working experience Minimum of 1 years experience of diesel engines and operation. Cultural/Language Good communication skills. Other requirement Candidates should have a understanding of diesel engines Be able to write Engineering Releases and understand the structure. Ability to manage a variety of work..
