Responsibilities Technical Lead / Developer of innovative Java libraries and extensions Engagement in architecture and design discussion with a small team Developing/coding libraries and extensions Testing developed features Bug investigation and fixing Maintenance of existing software modules Optimising/improving existing code/features Adhere to development processes General assistance with R activities Assisting with estimates and planning Possibility to extend responsibilities to project management Minimum Requirements: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent disciplines At least 5 years software development background Very good Java (J2ME) and C programming skills (min. 2 years of Java experience) Excellent OO design skills UML and design pattern expertise and ability to fully document a design solution. Must be able to express technical ideas and issues clearly. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills Tenacity and problem solving abilities Familiarity with standard software processes and practices Good team player used to work in project teams Self motivated well-organized individual who can prioritize work and handle multiple tasks Ability to manage and interact with multiple cultures Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment Commitment to high quality Very good communication skills in English (spoken and written) Nice to have requirements: Experience with Windows Mobile Experience in design of porting layers and advanced feature development (multimedia, networking, messaging, Bluetooth, M3G, SVG, SIP, etc.) would be an advantage Knowledge of low level/embedded systems programming would be an advantage.
