They sell diesel engines solutions to Shipyards and end-users. Due to their rapid growth in Mainland China we have been asked to assist them in recruiting a Petroleum Offshore Engineering Manager to join their team. Purpose of the job This position is responsible to lead a team of Application&Installation engineers to provide engineering support to all Petroleum Offshore orders. Since the Petroleum Offshore projects tend to involve high value vessels with high technical requirements, a key function of this position (and team) is to also provide pre sale support as requested for Petroleum Offshore projects. Job description Provide overall management and technical leadership to the Petroleum Offshore Application&Installation team, assigning work and tasks to ensure that all technical and engineering issues are executed according to contractual requirements. Make recommendations for training and development for all A team members. Provide pre sales support as needed to the Petroleum Offshore Sales Team. Promote cost effective designs. Utilize common engineering designs wherever possible to save engineering time and improve efficiencies and quality. Actively engage our clients Specialization Center to outsource fabrication of goods needed to support petroleum offshore orders. Ensure A team engages with cost effective, quality suppliers for non cat products needed to support new sales. Ensure technical specifications for such goods are complete and valid so the business/purchase departments can follow through on commercial purchase. Work openly with other department managers to ensure smooth work flows. Responsible for a team of 3 people. Works close together with the Petroleum Offshore Sales Manager. He will report to the Group Engineering Manager. Job requirements Strong leadership capabilities with thorough knowledge of Marine engineering and Offshore Engineering. College or University degree. Strong oral and written communication skills are required in English and Chinese. Must be able to work within a team environment. Minimum 8 years experience in Marine engineering and/or Petroleum Offshore roles. Prior management experience is required.
