To lead the China operation by providing consultation, proposal, and solution to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business and operational teams To manage project by performing the roles as a project manager and business analyst To lead the IT resources becoming business focus and able to share resources supporting other APAC countries. Essential Functions: Develop a vision and roadmap of business IT solutions for China , and with tactics and strategies to reach the vision. Maintain computer systems by managing outsourcing company as assigned including the WAN, Internet, phone system, data storage, and hardware, software and application by monitoring, troubleshooting and servicing the less routine aspects of the systems. Work with Corporate and Regional IT to deploy IT solutions by educating users with a global and standardized vision while addressing the business needs Coordinate the services of outside vendors including those handling IT orders and cable installations. Assist in negotiating vendor rates and place orders with vendors. Participate in the planning, searching and delivery of local solutions, if required, to address the business needs. Understand business requirements, and able to work with global and regional IT to propose and develop solution Manage financial aspects such as planned and actual capital and operational expenses. Work with internal customers and ensure all IT policies and guidelines are implemented and followed. May guide and train less experienced personnel. Provide support to all internal customers ensuring that calls are dealt with according to agreed service levels Provide Ad hoc queries, reports, download or other hands-on tasks for internal customers if required. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. Nature and Scope: This position largely interacts with Information Technology personnel and equivalent levels of internal customers and external vendors. That interaction requires excellent oral communication and customer service skills in identifying problems and implementing efficient solutions. Effectiveness in this role also requires detailed knowledge of Invitrogen’s computer systems and customer business. The incumbent also needs to be a hands-on person able to manage project and perform system analysis and documentation work, and works on problems of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of various factors. Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required. Strong applications knowledge such as ERP, CRM, and / or Data warehousing is mandatory. Experience: At least 15 years related experience in providing IT application development, project management and system administration. Detailed knowledge of commercial and manufacturing application, project management and Window NT systems relevant hardware and software skill required. Excellent communication and customer service skills needed.
