Microsoft Chengdu Incubation Center is looking for an experienced program manager to support the incubation center¡¯s resident game developers in developing games for Xbox and Windows platform. Chengdu Incubation Center provides resident game developers with consulting services, performance advice, technical information, source code and white papers to help them create the world"s best games. CIC is looking for an outstanding, experienced, program manager to manage Chengdu Incubation center training program locally. You will work with developers in CIC to drive for export success in the highly competitive world of interactive entertainment. Coordinating the efforts of many different teams in CIC is a big responsibility. You will need to build a strong working relationship with the resident developers and help them with any obstacles. When working with CIC developers, it is also critical to have a thorough understanding and love for the games. Primary responsibilities include provide operation support, including: coordinate training curriculum&milestone review, manage schedule, communicate operational status&issues weekly to Redmond, and manage relationships with local partners. Other responsibilities include manage test lab, provide testing guidance and ensure equipments are in proper working order. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently to manage onsite operation. Required skills include strong project management skills, excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal skills in English and Chinese, ability to communicate effectively with partners outside of Microsoft, and a strong drive for results. Broad knowledge of the game development is important. Customer empathy and drive for operational excellence will contribute to the candidate"s potential for success. Required technical competencies include an understanding of web technologies, software development life cycle as well as the ability to pick up new technologies quickly. The candidate should also have 3+ years of program management experience or project management experience. The position is based in Chengdu, China.
