This individual will take a leadership role in developing optical metrology application system and tools in our Shanghai facility, and serve as a primary interface to both the signal acquisition and interpretation activities in Shanghai, as well as optical metrology activities in the US. This person should be a self starter, able to work with and learn a wide range of methods and techniques as needed to support the application needs of the GE businesses. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Strong background in optical technology particularly as related to metrology applications Strong background in optoelectronic technology with respect to system design and applications Strong background in optical image signal acquisition and processing Experiences in C ++ and visual basic Understanding of optical instrumentation principles and practices Ability to develop data analysis code as related to optical measurement needs MS /Ph.D. (preferred) in optics, optical instrumentation, optoelectronic or mechanical engineering with emphasis in optical technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Chinese and English The ability to drive continuous improvement and implement change DESIRED: Experiences in CAD software (preferably Unigraphics) Familiar with reverse engineering software, such as Surfacer, Polyworks Experiences with basic optical analysis packages, such as Zeemax, Oslo Experiences using analysis tools such as Labview, Matlab Experiences with some machine vision systems GENERAL DESCRIPTION: CTC ÁªÏµ·½Ê½£º .
