The focus of the Simulation team is to serve Nortel 4G development. And this is a senior role to lead and drive the 4G simulation activities. Responsibilities: The major responsibilities of this role would be -4G Simulation content planning based on the requirements from both Wimax<E system design teams - Lead and drive simulation SW development including simulator software architecture, simulation functional libraries, simulation functional integrations, algorithms development. Provide the simulation curves for performance evaluation&the third-party IP core evaluation - Provide test vectors for MAC, DSP, Co Processor, and Radio validation&trouble shooting. -Lead and drive the advanced algorithm development. - Establish the working model strategy with both NA system designers&GDNT software designers - Define and set-up the simulator’s development environment including version controls - Establish the code templates for 4G algorithm development -Document user’s guide for the simulation functions, libraries, as well as integrated simulators. Skill&experience required: Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunication or relevant majors Fluent spoken English and good writing skill, CET-6 is preferred Knowledge of wireless communication theory, signal processing, call processing,&mobility Experience in complex software feature development, software tool, as well as software project management Sound technical knowledge in software development. Experience in loadbuild, SW development environment set-up. Knowing clearcase for version control. Strong process focus Configuration management expertise Release&deployment experience (e.g. install shield, automatic updates) Preferred knowledge in physical, MAC and application level simulations with experience in simulation work breakdown and programs. Experience in DSP algorithm development&implementation is an advantage.
