Trading’s main role is to find purchasing possibilities for IKEA products at the most competitive price meeting Quality demands, delivery performance and securing social and environment compliance . This requires Trading to constantly scan for new suppliers, look for new production possibilities and evaluate new materials to achieve the best possible price for the end customer! Assignment (Description of main tasks and responsibilities) QA Engineer ensures that the IKEA suppliers in the Given Material Area fulfil the different IKEA technical, quality and environmental requirements. Work with cost improvements (product and production improvements). Actively work with technical and material development. Claim and corrective action handling. Contribute to the business development within the team. Work with product documentation and DWP (Dimension -Weight -Package). Support the start-up, development and discontinuation of suppliers. Support the suppliers in fulfilling the IKEA requirements. Specific Competence for a QA Engineer (The knowledge, motivation and capability to handle all situations/activities the assignment requires) Knowledge Strong interest to work for a home furnishings company and curious to explore new areas/topics. Will and ability for further development within IKEA. A field operator with the ability to organise, set responsibilities and work unsupervised. Ability to set goals, implement and follow up.
