The focus for the Account Manager is to develop and implement account strategies for the channel and for each dealer groups they are associated with to enable the Insurance Financial Consultant teams to maximize the potential sales. Principal Responsibilities: Assists China’s Citibank sales team in the marketing and management of the bancassurance business Monitors branch sales support Coordinates marketing and promotion plans with Citibank sales support team to ensure smooth process and successful execution of plans. Fulfills sales management forms and sales analysis report to be in line with Channel’s requirements; prepare sales materials and follow up on sales training programs Oversees quality and compliance assurance, team performance and process improvement. Actively involve in, and contribute to, the business unit’s planning and budgeting process and activities, in collaboration with the Account Head and the Management Team. Communicate and coordinate with back office support functions to support sales manager To meet or exceed targeted levels of sales with specific dealer groups and within the wider channel allocation. Using detailed knowledge of Citibank’s requirements to develop individual solutions that meet the dealer groups need whilst delivering MetLife’s objectives. Communicate in a clear, concise manner so that the message is delivered with credibility and engages both internal and external stakeholders. Increase adviser and product penetration rate within Citibank. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required: Account Planning Account planning techniques and principles including: Customer needs analysis (incl. interpretation of dealer group business plans). Account strategies. Action plans. Setting targets. Selling Concepts&Techniques Knowledge of contemporary selling techniques, processes and tools within a consultative selling environment. Account Management Concepts Understanding of account management concepts and principles including: Role of the account manager. Issues management and escalation processes. Organisation mapping (i.e. decision making centres). Account profitability. Partnership building. Markets&Customers Knowledge of market including: Working knowledge of the funds management and financial planning industry including; structure, the role of different parties in the investment value chain, market drivers and current trends. General understanding of financial planning concepts and practices. Good knowledge of the key dealer groups in the market and which customers, segments, and products each one targets. Working knowledge of compliance and how it is applied to dealer groups. Understanding of MetLife’s competitors including key offerings and relationship strategies.
