COMPANY China in providing solutions to the diversified process industry through the development, production and distribution of Valves, and related flow components. COMPANY Suzhou manufactures and markets Valves, for the domestic and worldwide Industrial markets JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for leading and improving the COMPANY Suzhou Quality Strategy supporting the new facility start up needs to effectively build and manage the quality functions ensuring that COMPANY Suzhou’s key financial objectives on quality cost management are met. To lead QA systems implement and efforts to support product transfer into China. To work closely with the internal ‘Value Streams’ to facilitate and support maximum customer satisfaction through sustainable improvements in quality metrics . PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the system of quality assurance and its maintenance and improvement Build a “quality” culture within the company and assure rigorous compliance with the company quality ethics. Ensure and maintain compliance with appropriate and business critical accreditations, e.g. ISO 9000, PED, ATEX certification Ensure improved levels of customer satisfaction In charge of the certification process and certificates of compliance and standard Refinement of certification processes for cost effective improvement Plan and conduct regular internal audits of the system and methods used. To evaluate all quality outcomes and drive through Value streams for preventative measures to ensure non-repetition of events / occurrences. Drive appropriate corrective actions and adherence to standards in case of quality system failures. Assessment of the measurement systems and employing the appropriate measuring system including training of personnel, defining the inspection methods and calibration at pre-defined intervals. To work with other departments regarding quality plans, standards and related issues and conduct regular updates of outcomes of investigations and changes in methods and processes (including sales) Ensure that QA is an integral part of the OpEx processes in the business Drive continuous quality improvements within the company Ensure that the 5-Why root cause analysis tool is applied in diagnosing both customer and supplier complaints Assure Standard Operating Procedures are available for all the function within the company and comply with the Quality system requirements Definition of supplier criteria of quality and delivery Supplier audits&assessment of quality requirements for new suppliers Help Strategic Purchasing to Control of all suppliers (incl. Sub contractor) quality quality standard and delivery (OTD) Provide Voice of the Customer guidance to the rest of the business on quality issues. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5-6 years’ manufacturing/engineering experience in line management and quality role, at least 2-3 years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, ideally with problem solving (6 sigma, Shining or similar) exposure Excellent team builder and people motivator Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written) and administrative skills Conversant with cast iron, steel casting and machined components and able to monitor and maintain ISO activities and quality approvals Self-starter, positive attitude, resilience, good time management skills. Adept in the areas of Quality system requirements as per ISO 9001:2000 requirements. Should be certified internal auditor. Should be knowledgeable in standard Quality Assurance processes / procedures Should have knowledge and proven expertise in the areas like problem solving techniques, basic quality tools, SPC&SQC techniques, sampling plans etc. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Familiarity with international material standards and manufacture environment Knowledge of statistical quality measurements Knowledge about the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
