The Shared Services China Information Technology Manager is responsible for managing EnPro Industries’ IT network, data center systems, and remote technical services located in China on a 24/7 basis. 2. This position requires a hands-on manager overseeing network management, network administration and computing system administration. 3. This position is responsible for evolving the team"s service quality and deliverables. 4. This person is responsible for managing all IT services and personnel in China. 5. This person also works closely with the company’s corporate office for technical support and deployment. 6. Most importantly, this person is responsible for defining IT service level agreements with our dispersed facilities and operations in China. 7. This position is responsible for assuring conformance with EnPro standards and practices as applicable. 8. This position is responsible for securing EnPro assets and systems in accordance with EnPro policy. 9. The position designs, specifies, configures, installs and maintains all networking in China including but not limited to local, wide area and wireless network hardware, software, and telecommunications services. 10. This position is also responsible for all personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, internet service providers and data center hosting services. 11. This position will develop and implement policies and procedures related to network and computing hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup. 12. This person will establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security. 13. This person will facilitate and trains users on software and equipment usage. 14. This person will respond to the needs and questions of computing users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs. 15. This person will develop and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of the network, servers, personal computers, and data. 16. This person will communicate with a wide variety of other departments and internal organizations to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems. 17. This person consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives. 18. This person works closely with other IT departments within EnPro Industries and outside China to coordinate all IT services including ERP systems and other application dedicated to operational integration. 19. This person researches and evaluates new IT technologies. 20. This person negotiates contracts in conjunction with others within EnPro Industries and coordinates activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training vendors. 21. This person is responsible for all data center management, including but not limited to installing, testing and upgrading software and ensuring adequate data backups and disaster recovery. 22. This person is responsible for all compliance issues related to Sarbanes Oxley, SEC and other requirements of a United States Company operating in China. 23. This person leads in the development and execution of ongoing strategic and tactical plans for computing systems and network growth. 24. This position will also be responsible for managing remote services provided by company remote staff such as operating systems administration, application support and remote DBA services. 25. This position is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 26. This person reports to Director of the EnPro China Shared Service Center (“ECSSC”), working closely with the EnPro CIO to ensure consistency with EnPro IT policies, procedures and strategies Position Requirements: 1. Ability to communicate in writing and speech in English to both technical and non-technical audiences 2. Willingness to field 1st and 2nd level support calls 3. Expert level MS Exchange and enterprise level messaging environment 4. Expert level Window server and desktop operating systems experience 5. Enterprise level Microsoft Active Directory support experience 6. General office systems such as MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint et al is required 7. Must be well organized, self directed with a strong work ethic and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. This position will require the occupant to take on many roles at various levels within an IT structure 8. Minimum of 5 years of IT management experience with increasing responsibilities in network architecture and IT systems 9. A varied and strong technical background that would include extensive network, communications systems and data center operational support all with a demonstrated ability to work with IT service providers. 10. Strong project management skills 11. Strong staff management experience 12. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with staff/faculty at all skill/management levels 13. Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, systems management&networking on multiple computing platforms. 14. Experience with managing technical resources based remotely 15. Specific understanding of industry trends and standards required. 16. Must be team orientated. 17. Strong organizational skills 18. University degree, preferably in a related area 19. Experience supporting ERP architecture a plus. 20. Willingness to travel 21. Strong knowledge of routing protocols and bridging of non-routable protocols 22. Experience with packet analysis tools 23. Strong knowledge of layer-2 technology and experience installing and managing switched networks 24. Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches 25. Experience managing or supporting frame relay, private line and VPN 26. Strong knowledge of DNS, WINS, TCP/IP and IP-related protocols 27. Strong background in securing and protecting an enterprise environment from vulnerabilities and security threats 28. Excellent problem determination and resolution skills 29. General knowledge of wiring and cabling 30. Provide technical leadership and coordination of IT issues between various offices throughout the world. 31. Intermediate knowledge of SAN and switching infrastructure 32. Experience with supporting VoIP, PBXs and telephony 33. Experience with maintaining firewalls and internet security 34. Ability to handle multiple projects on an on-going basis 35.
