To advise our vendors on country sales strategy; To share with the management, knowledge and experience of the Chinese relevant market, structures, economic trends, competition and all other information that will assist in the development of our organization¡¯s Chinese business; Monitor performance against targets taking appropriate corrective action. To sell, negotiate, promote and manage the products and services of our Group to achieve segment profit plus personal and company targets with nominated local vendor accounts and if applicable their local dealers and end users. Organisation: Reports to : Sales Director China, Sales Director, Material Handling Division Asia Pacific Region, the Board of Directors and other senior management as specified from time to time. Functional Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities Include, but are not limited to the following: 1. New Business Development and Relationship management In conjunction with the Sales Manager China, Regional Sales Director and Senior Management, agree specific vendor volume targets and margins and ensure that these are achieved. Achieve acceptable levels of new business originations&margins on vendor introduced business or repeat direct business as agreed from time to time and be innovative via front end marketing techniques rather than a traditional back end banking approach. Whilst innovation&flexibility is an integral part of achieving business originations, it must be done within the Vendors/our business ethics&standards. Work with key vendor sales personnel to develop their full understanding of the benefits of vendor based finance, thereby gaining maximum business opportunities and high levels of penetration of finance to equipment sales. In addition you will work with the vendors¡¯ senior management&product management personnel to develop their marketing strategies via the joint development of tailored finance programs&to actively utilise these techniques in the sales process. Develop a working knowledge of Vendors¡¯ equipment; it¡¯s capabilities, their corporate marketing strategies&internal culture, together with a comprehensive understanding of the relevant industry. Build and maintain strong business relationships with all key vendor personnel and as such be considered as the focal point of contact for all day-to-day finance matters. Ensure that there is regular contact between our management at all levels and their counterparts in the vendor¡¯s business. Be personable&ensure good working relationships with vendors/end users and engender respect&following from all our customers. Maintain a strong corporate presence within the specific vendors offices and if required work within their office on a semi-permanent or permanent basis. Provide confidentiality of information obtained from or on vendors/end users. Manage all ongoing activity from vendors and end-user accounts originated. Obtain Financial Information from end-users¡¯, vendors¡¯, the relevant industry and any other source so that you have sufficient information to prepare credit submissions in our standard format to enable a quick and timely approval of originated business. Work with our management and external legal counsel (when required) to complete the required legal / loan documentation for settlement of new business. Manage the entire vendor relationship with the Vendors, inclusive of origination, credit approval, and the necessary documentation for settlement. 2. Monitoring Activities and compliance issues To monitor the vendor¡¯s financial performance and regularly advise senior sector/segment management of any material change in the vendor¡¯s financial or commercial status To manage the vendors¡¯ accounts and relationships in such a way as to ensure that all the following objectives are achieved: Corporate, Commercial, Financial, Fiscal and Legal Collect information on the vendor¡¯s position in the industry, financial position, business needs, management and so on To provide a short summary of relevant developments regarding the relationship, the vendor¡¯s financial and market position and the vendor¡¯s industry when required Work with our collections staff to manage the relationship issues that may arise between your vendor and us with respective accounts that they have introduced which become delinquent.
