Create necessary PSAP database and/or boundaries Works with GIS, POI and PSAP data supplier to understand how use of data could improve OnStar service Works with China data suppliers&North American OnStar team on data related issues Manage the sustain of data sources&production upgrade Provide technical analyses on map related products, technologies and methods as needed Ensure compliance with internal as well as industry IT Standards process Support project estimation and planning EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree or higher in Geography, Computer Science or related field EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required Solid understanding of GIS theory and techniques Solid understanding of Point of Interest (POI) business listings data structure. Solid understanding of Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) data structure. 3-5 years experience with GIS software packages: ArcGIS, ArcEngine, ArcObjects Development and Scripting languages for ArcGIS (VBA, Python and others) In-depth understanding of relational databases Strong understanding of Routing Engines, Geocoding Process and Software Knowledge of GPS technology Ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment Ability to lead projects/assignments from inception to completion A strong team player Strong analytical&problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluent in writing&speaking of both English and Chinese Mandarin Preferred Knowledge of and experience working with commercial street databases and commercial business listings database.
