To provide cost accounting related services and Annual Operating Plan (and Forecasts) for manufacturing and operating activities of all reporting entities. The incumbent will have main focus for China operations. The accountabilities described form the major part of the position but it may not be confined to them. He or she will work closely with GC Finance team, corporate staff, auditors / consultants and across various functions in China . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing, maintaining and managing manufacturing accounting systems and records, standard costs, costing of local manufactured and imported products, updating standard cost, allocation of costs (e.g. recharges, consumables), costing of new products, processes (standard and custom), preparation and input of journal entries into General Ledger. Take active role in ERP system improvement and implementation. Be responsible for developing and providing on a consistent and timely fashion, reports on productivity performance, work order analysis, variances from standard with reasons for deviations and any adhoc requests from the management. Lead and be responsible for preparing annual operating plan and periodic forecast for manufacturing and operating activities. Participate in cycle counts and annual counts, as directed. Provide reasons for inventory variations/adjustments on a regular basis. Be responsible for Inventory Provisions, as per corporate policy Ensure timely and accurate reporting into corporate database and to senior management. Work with GC Finance team to meet month end and year end closing requirements, for all Invitrogen China ’s financial accounts covering all statutory and management reporting entities. Ensure costing system and reporting complies at all the times with Invitrogen Operating Policies, Internal Control, and Business Codes of Conduct guidelines. Assist and provide financial and cost accounting services to all business functions in Greater China as required. Provide accounting support and serve as the key contact with internal/ external auditor, local tax authorities and company secretariat as required. Co-ordinate, assist and facilitate Greater China staff to follow guidelines on company operating procedures, lead accounting staff focusing on business process improvements and to solve cost accounting and operational issues Provide assistant and related trainings to finance team staffs.
