You will also support site activities that suit the project programme. Accountabilities: Identify, deploy and manage appropriate human resources from within Honiton Projects on a project basis and from across the company as appropriate, Lead and ensure all key decisions are supported by sufficient due diligence and investigation, Lead and recommend appropriate commercial strategies, Lead and provide input to all commercial agreements and contracts to ensure project risks are mitigated, Lead and assist the Chief Technical Officer to prepare and present investment cases, Manage and hold project budget delivery responsibility for individual projects ensuring budgets are delivered, Manage the process of regular meetings, communications and reports to the Chief Technical Officer, which provide accurate and timely information to support their understanding of strategic risks, issues, opportunities, impacts and progress, Manage and actively identify all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project specifically the adequate application of and adherence to both statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements, Manage all project activities to ensure efficient and effective interfacing with Honitons technical teams Apply accurate time, resource and cost-estimating techniques in order to minimise risk of investment and maximise value, Manage and ensure all deliverables meet Honiton"s Business Operational specifications. Dimensions: The Project Manager is responsible for delivery of singular projects within the portfolio, Responsible for all project aspects with consultants/contractors employed up to 100 (construction) or 30 (development). Complexity and creativity: Manage and resolve a range of issues on projects covering technical/operational project matters, At short notice, act upon and deliver ad-hoc projects without losing focus on major ongoing projects. Judgement and decisions: Advise the Chief Technical Officer on the impact of technical/specialist risks and issues and the viability of solutions recommended, Balance technical detail with commercial needs and provide recommendations, taking into account all relevant risks, Ensure that all recommendations are documented and sufficient due diligence exists to support decisions (whether internal or external diligence), Defend and stand by recommendations but also recognise when alternative solutions may be preferable, Present decisions and recommendations to the Chief Technical Officer in a structured and robust manner. External Financial Advisors Industry technical bodies Planning Authorities Technical/Environmental consultants Equipment manufacturers and suppliers Infrastructure contractors/Turbine suppliers Local Government officials and representatives Landowners Skills, knowledge and experience: Professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline - civil, mechanical or electrical engineer, Five years" construction management or project development experience, Experienced in multi-disciplinary projects involving key disciplines, Experience and understanding of commercial contracts and negotiations, Experience and detailed understanding of technical due diligence, Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact, Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation associated with construction projects, Working knowledge of quality standards and procurement management, Tenacity, persistence and determination to succeed, Excellent interpersonal skills, operating confidently at senior management level, Excellent report writing and presentation skills, Ability to identify and match resources and skills to appropriate project roles, Ability to manage people effectively to deliver required outputs in a timely manner, Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
