Assures products comply to all applicable quality standards and specifications. Good overall quality control system and manufacturing process knowledge. Familiarity with statistical databases and skilled in application of statistical quality control techniques. Solid Six Sigma / Lean experience. Expertise in root cause analysis of product defects and implementing preventative corrective action. Ability to use Office Automation software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Works effectively in a dynamic multi-functional, international team environment. Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written. Measurement of Performance: New product quality standards are effective and implemented per project schedules. New products comply with all specifications and industry standards. Supplier Certification Program is effective resulting in a supplier base that meets corporate quality standards. Supplier Audit Program results in continuous quality improvement. Continuous Improvement Programs meets corporate quality improvement goals. Job Responsibilities: Develops, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for mechanical and electromechanical products for the Electronic Security market. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Assures new products comply to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as UL, CE, FCC and EMC. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis and develops corrective action plans for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Creates Supplier Certification Program for local suppliers. Creates Audit Program to track quality of incoming material to identify failure trends and to ensure suppliers are providing high quality goods&services. Performs on-site surveys by using checklist and audit reports Monitors and troubleshoots out of box customer returns to review and evaluate customer field failure data. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Provide assistance to receiving inspection and implementing product verification criteria to reduce cycle time Participate in continuous improvement of Quality System by evaluating processes and procedures. Supervisory and Staff Relationships: Reports to Engineering Manager Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
