The APJ Global Procurement Regional Centre will serve as a focal point for our Procurement operations support which includes core tactical procurement processes, transactional procurement processes and services delivery. The Regional Centre will provide value to HP Global Procurement by meeting the following objectives: 1) Simplify the consumer experience by deploying Regional and Global process standards and programs 2) Optimize operational cost to HP by providing economies of scale and process efficiency; and 3) Build and retain knowledge of Procurement operational processes. 4) Identify and implement process improvements such as process standardization across the APJ region. Processes that will be evaluated by the APJ Global Procurement Regional Centre include the following: mid-touch order management, business controls&compliance, validation of purchase requisition, contract administration, payment terms compliance, supplier and end-user communication, core tactical and transactional procurement processes, and Global Procurement program administration. The better we buy, the better our bottom line. Buyers are key links in our supply chain, managing our relationships with, and the performance of, suppliers of materials, equipment and services. You"ll be working on challenging assignments with clearly defined business objectives, solving basic problems and supporting the needs of businesses and other functions. 1) Evaluates purchase requisitions for compliance to established business controls, including contract terms, risk assessment, pricing, supplier selection, and takes appropriate actions to ensure the required level of business controls are met. 2) Executes purchase requisitions and communicate requirements to external suppliers. 3) Consulting on procurement decision with HP business located in various APJ countries. 4) Consulting and education of procurement processes and services support to HP employees. 5) Contributes to an environment of continuous process improvement. 6) Utilizes Internet purchasing and IT tools to perform duties. 7) Operates within HP"s Standards of Business Conduct. 8) Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time. A related university degree 4-5 years experience in procurement and knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiations concepts and business law Good communicartion skils and ability to speak Mandarin, Japanese (and English preferably). Excellent planning, analytical skills Ability to negotiate with, and influence, others Ability to interact in an a multicultural environment Service oriented.
